Twenty years of executive leadership, now put to work for families on Lake Murray.
I'm Tillman Johnson. I bring more than twenty years of executive leadership experience to the families I serve across Lake Murray and the greater Columbia area.
After a career in healthcare technology, leading strategy, innovation and large teams, I now apply that same level of excellence, clarity and care to helping clients navigate the real estate market with confidence. Healthcare is a trust industry. So is this one.
I'm known for a calm approach, strong negotiation, and data-driven insight, and I work to make the experience seamless whether you're buying your first home, selling a property, or investing in the Lake Murray lifestyle.
The story
For more than two decades I built a career leading high-performing teams and shaping strategy in the healthcare technology world. After years of helping organizations grow, I felt called to bring that same level of excellence closer to home, right here on Lake Murray.
Today I blend that executive background with a passion for serving people, guiding clients through one of life's most meaningful decisions with clarity, care and confidence. My approach is shaped by the values that define me: faith, family and fitness. They show up in the way I listen, the way I advocate, and the way I work to help a family find a home that truly fits their life.
How I work
- One point of contactFrom the first call to closing, you work with me. No hand-offs.
- A written update every weekWhat happened, what the data says, what I recommend next.
- Decisions backed by numbersComparable sales, showing activity and marketing performance you can see for yourself.
- Your interests firstI'll tell you when not to sell, when to walk away, and when a deal is better than it looks.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”
What guides me
My faith is the center of my life. I try to live a Christian life and follow God’s purpose for mine, and I don’t leave that at the door when I go to work. Helping families through one of the biggest decisions they’ll ever make is part of that purpose.
In practice, it looks like stewardship: treating your home, your money and your trust as something placed in my care. It means telling you the truth even when it costs me a deal, and putting your family’s interests ahead of a quick close.
Whatever your faith or background, you’ll get the same care, the same honesty and the same effort from me.
- StewardshipYour home is likely your family’s largest asset. I treat it that way, from the first conversation to the closing table.
- HonestyStraight answers, even when they aren’t the ones either of us hoped for.
- ServiceOutside of real estate, you’ll find me serving with my church on service days, taking part in mission work, and volunteering around the Midlands. Serving people is the point, on the job and off it.

Rooted in the Midlands
I spent my early years in Carolina country, in Edgefield. I grew up in Columbia's suburbs and went through Richland One schools. Today I live on the water in Chapin with my wife and our two children. The markets on this site aren't abstractions to me: I've lived the country roads, the city neighborhoods and the lake.
I'm active in the Chapin community and passionate about helping others feel at home in the place I love.
You'll find me at my children's school events, at church on Sunday, and on the water most weekends, which is also where I learned which coves hold depth in August.
The brokerage
I'm a licensed South Carolina real estate agent with Wilson Real Estate in Columbia. Carolina Lake Homes is the name of my practice within the brokerage.
